The Experience
What to expect on a ghostfinder Paranormal Experience event:
When you arrive at the event location, you will be greeted by the ghostfinder Paranormal Society Team. You must register and be signed in by a member of the team.
Director & Lead Investigator Barri Ghai will then take you all through a health & safety talk and ask you to agree to the event terms and conditions.
You will then be introduced to the whole team and served hot and cold refreshments if desired.
Once everyone has arrived and been briefed, you will be given a group tour of the location in the dark! Yes torches can be used....
Following the guided tour, you will re-group and take part in a workshop and presentation delivered by both experienced G.P.S Directors & Lead Investigators Barri Ghai & Ian Wilce.
This workshop will introduce you to the real world of paranormal investigations and enable you to see a demonstration of the equipment used and also the techniques that have been developed to record and capture evidence of ghosts and the paranormal.
After the workshop and presentation, you will be split up into groups of no more than 12 and follow the direction of a Team Leader. You will almost always be kept in groups with people you have booked with.
During your group investigations you will have the opportunity to conduct your own EVP experiments, set up and use trigger objects, check for spikes using a K2 meter or EMF detector, and take digital photographs.
The ghostfinder Paranormal Experience also offers you a psychic workshop at many of our events. This includes participation in either glass divination, or séances. We do not use spirit boards, or Ouija boards at our events, as these are not considered to be safe in any situation.
We feel that that your experience should be about real tangible evidence gathering and paranormal investigations must be conducted using science and logic rather than feelings, impressions, and psychological influences. However our extensive experience has taught us that spiritualism holds enlightening knowledge that will undoubtedly be key to unlocking the secrets of paranormal research.
As you will be working in the dark, you must bring a torch. Occasionally there will be a limited number of torches for sale on the night but bring your own and don’t forget spare batteries.
You will all get the opportunity to carry out solo vigils during the night, but this is optional and we will never make you do anything you feel uncomfortable with.
Refreshments are normally provided freely throughout the night although it is advisable to bring your own food if you wish to eat something more substantial during the event.
There will be scheduled breaks and there will be a designated smoking area for you to use if needed.
The G.P.S team will be on hand all night to answer any questions that you may have and to support you throughout the experience.
We recommend that comfortable footwear and layers of clothing are worn as different locations have differing temperatures and environments.
At the end of the night there will be an opportunity to discuss experiences, evidence, and listen to some of the EVP's captured and analysed by the team during the event. You will also be given the opportunity to let us know what you thought of the event and complete a customer comment card to make suggestions to improve our events.
All evidence gathered following each event, may be published on the G.P.S website and your photographs, experiences, and comments will also be displayed if requested.
We hope you choose to join us on our next event and experience what real paranormal investigators encounter at some the UK's most haunted locations.
