G.P.S has been asked to assist an American television production company with a programme about the American 'Founding Fathers'.

Benjamin Franklin the prolific Statesman and former Post-Master General of North America, was good friends with Sir Francis Dashwood, the founder of the Hell-Fire Club back in the late 18th Century.

The club had a reputation for orgies, debauchery and devil worship. But there are differing reports about what really went on there.

Benjamin Franklin often visited the area of West Wycombe and is rumoured to have spent a good deal of time down in the caves with several well respected figures of the day. These included, Lord Sandwich, John Wilkes, and the Prime Minister.

The ghosts that are reported to haunt the caves are members of the Hell-Fire Club including Sir Francis Dashwood. A woman named Sukie is also supposed to haunt the cave, the legend goes that she went to meet her lover dressed in a wedding gown, but it was a practical joke and she was met by a gang of boys, who stoned her to death. Every year around the time of her death a woman in white can be seen roaming the caves looking for her lover from so long ago. Visitors report being touched on their backs and head. Feelings of dread and intense fear strike some people and they are forced to flee the caves.

Does Benjamin Franklin's spirit still visit this historic place? Or does he reside there permanently?, having spent alot of time there during some of his most influential years joining the secret underground organisation known surreptitiously as the 'Hell-Fire Club'.

G.P.S is currently talking to Hellfire caves regarding the team conducting a paranormal investigation on the 29th August. The evening will be open to members of the public who will join us to see how a paranormal investigation is done. The caves are also looking to use our knowledge gained through previous visits to this location, to help with the ghost walks they are running during that evening. This is an exciting development for the team, and more information will follow shortly.
