What are EVP's?
EVP's (Electronic Voice Phenomena) is a possible way to communicate with spirits. Paranormal researchers believe that the voices of the dead can be recorded and played back on digital recorders or magnetic audio tape. It is the most modern way to communicate with the spirit world. Some sceptics however believe that they are not voices of the dead but radio or CB transmissions.
There are three classifications of EVP:
Class A EVP's - 100% audible, clear voice & intelligent or reactive responses. They are not random noises or words. In all cases they are audible to the human ear and require no enhancements.
Class B EVP's - Practically audible and there is some doubt to the interpretation, syllables & consonant pronunciation. There is in most cases an appropriate tone and timing to the question or statement made by an investigator. The frequency levels in Hz are also undetermined, but usually found on the lower end of the spectrum.
Class C EVP's - The frequency levels support this unexplainable voice, but they are not always audible. Some constants are present, and timing or tone still applies to this category. A direct response is not required, and random voices, or unexplainable tones, or sounds apply in this category. The EVP is audible but faint, and whispers fit into this classification band.
